Slot missions are an excellent method to earn gear weapons, gear and much more. But they're also difficult to do.

Concealed Weapon Slot

The concealed weapon slot is a special slot that lets you carry pistols into an operation. Some people use it to help them attain certain goals, particularly those who aim for Suit Only. Some players make use of the extra pistol to fill in gaps. It's important to note that to choose the pistols for this slot you must click on the button for the appropriate category, like alternate slot 2 machine guns. The presence of Major Expedition and Adept Rider on makes it simpler. This combo also adds an attack tick from the concealed Weapon every 10 seconds for as long as it is placed in.

Slot for items being smuggled

It's currently shaped as pistols, which makes it hard to distinguish the smuggled items slot from other gear slots.

The smuggle slot can house an array of items, from subtle concussion devices to weapons-grade explosives. These items can be found in a variety of hidden places around the map. They can also be found any time. Smuggled items are distinct from Agency Pickups and Hidden Stashes that hide only small objects within scenery and objects directly.

Mission planning is an option available in missions that are episodic. It allows players to discover different starting points as well as smuggled items and gear slots prior to stepping into the map. These options for planning expand as players complete challenges and obtain higher Mission Mastery levels. This allows players to prepare the best mission for every challenge.

Gear Slot

Early on in the game players will find their gear slots fill up, leading to the dreaded "Your Gear Slots are Full" message, which blocks Max from acquiring new equipment until old items are cleared or more space is obtained. The solution to this problem is the Hogwarts Legacy Merlin Trials which offer more inventory space in exchange for the completion of challenge missions. However, because many of these challenges are scattered around the globe and are easily missed it could take some time to get the largest amount of inventory slots in the game.

Five Gear Slots can be filled with up to five different gear types, which must be selected in the Gear Selection menu before a Break-In begins. Each gear item (except for the Pistol) is a part of one Gear Slot, while a grouping of similar items (such as the grouping of Grenades) can only use one Gear Slot.

Agency Pickups

As you progress in Mission Mastery levels, you unlock various agency pickups throughout the map. These locations allow you to keep items that aren't suitable in your concealed weapon or Rain Bet gear slot. You can take them out later.

These pickups can be very useful if your mission requires you to pass through a frisk or you have a weapon with you that could raise suspicion. You can only conceal one item per game at a pickup location for agencies.

This DLC includes new contracts for Rain Bet security and asset protection to the agency. To begin these missions, simply contact the receptionist of the agency and Rain Bet purchase armor and snacks. Once you have reached the marker you can identify a crowd when you arrive.
